Walk to the slopes from 645 White Oak, a Wintergreen mountain retreat, sold furnished, with more sleeping space than its two bedrooms suggest. A vaulted great room sets the tone, with a fireplace, and tall sliders opening to the deck and the views beyond. Exposed beams and open-tread stairs give the place real ski-chalet character. Updates include fresh paint and new stainless kitchen appliances. The kitchen has a diamond plate-faced bar with room for stools, so the cook stays part of the conversation. The main bedroom and a full bath are also on this level, with a vaulted ceiling and large closet in the bedroom. Upstairs, the open loft overlooks the great room and works as bonus sleeping and hangout space. Downstairs, the ground-floor walkout is tricked out as a bunk room, with a large bed, a set of bunks, a second full bath and laundry. Sliders open to a covered patio with a hammock strung beneath the deck. Have your coffee at the table on the deck, spend the afternoon in the hammock, and when there's fresh snow, leave the car parked and head to the slopes on foot. An easygoing Wintergreen getaway for ski season and every season after it.
